About San Miguel County Court Docket

San Miguel County court records are held by more than one New Mexico court office. This private reference resource identifies the public search routes, court levels, and clerk contacts that help locate a district, magistrate, municipal, probate, or appellate docket.

Why We Built This Site

New Mexico public court access has several entry points, and each serves a different purpose. Case Lookup is the public path for basic statewide case information, while eligible registered users may use re:SearchNM for access based on their role. The Fourth Judicial District Court keeps the San Miguel district-court register, the Magistrate Court keeps its own lower-court files, and Las Vegas Municipal Court keeps city-court records. Separating those routes makes it easier to identify the responsible clerk instead of treating every court record as one county office file.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: local information for criminal dockets and civil dockets
  • Court dates and settings: an explanation of the court calendar and current-setting checks
  • Case lookups: the case search routes for a name, case number, court location, or status
  • Record requests: the responsible-clerk and court-records paths for public and certified copies

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference resource, not a New Mexico court, clerk office, or government agency. The Fourth Judicial District Court and the other responsible court offices, rather than this resource, control their official records and procedures.

  • We cannot retrieve an official docket, filing, or case file for a reader
  • We cannot set, change, or confirm a hearing or court date
  • We cannot remove, seal, amend, or otherwise alter a court case
  • We cannot issue a certified court record, order, or docket copy
  • We cannot provide legal advice about a pending matter or court rule
  • We cannot guarantee that an office’s procedures, fees, or schedule have not changed

Only the clerk of the court that maintains a case, or that court itself, can issue an official or certified docket or court record. Appeals from Fourth Judicial District judgments generally route separately to the New Mexico Court of Appeals or, when assigned by law, the New Mexico Supreme Court.
