Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Information entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its result under its own practices. San Miguel County Court Docket does not retain or log the search words entered through those tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends a message through a published contact channel, it may be retained to respond or handle the request. That message is not shared outside the organization unless a legal obligation requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most web resources, the server may receive technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address associated with the connection
- The browser and its version
- The device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on each page
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Time and date information for page views
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files a browser can store to support site measurement and related functions. Analytics services may aggregate visit information to show traffic patterns and performance. Browser controls can block cookies, although some features may then operate differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating and maintaining the resource
- Routing a submitted search to its partner service
- Understanding page use and performance trends
- Diagnosing and addressing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may be relevant to a visit
No Court-Record Data on File
San Miguel County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case histories. It provides general routing information for the Fourth Judicial District Court, San Miguel County Magistrate Court, Las Vegas Municipal Court, and other New Mexico access channels. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this resource are operated by outside providers. Information submitted to one of those tools is governed by that provider’s privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. Review the provider’s policy before submitting information, because San Miguel County Court Docket does not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court, clerk, and statewide New Mexico resources, including Case Lookup, re:SearchNM, the Fourth Judicial District Court, and the judiciary’s records-request services. Following an external link moves the visitor to a resource with its own privacy practices.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity or deliver advertising. Those practices are governed by the partner, not by this policy.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Depending on a visitor’s activity, limited information may be received by:
- A search provider handling a submitted query
- An analytics service used to measure traffic or performance
- An advertising network serving an advertisement
- Law enforcement or a government body when a valid legal demand requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect information collected through the resource. No internet transmission or storage system can promise complete security, so a breach-free result cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian believes that a minor supplied information, the organization may remove that information after receiving the request.
Your Data Rights
Requests for New Mexico court records are governed by Rule 1-079 NMRA, the judiciary’s online case-access policy, and the judiciary IPRA process under NMSA 1978 Chapter 14, Article 2. Those rules govern access to court-held records, including docket entries and registers of actions, rather than a private visitor-data request. A court record not available in Case Lookup may be requested through the New Mexico Judiciary IPRA portal from the responsible court or department.
- Ask for a copy of personal information retained about you
- Request correction of inaccurate retained information
- Ask for deletion of information where deletion is appropriate
- Ask about available choices for certain data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as the resource or its practices change. A revised version takes effect when posted on this page.
